5. Space Mountain, Magic Kingdom
You can't hate a classic. Space Mountain should be in everyone's top five just because it is so iconic. A lot of people hate on it because it's so old, but to me that doesn't matter. I could ride it 10,000 times and never get tired of it, I will still have a smile on my face the entire time. Sure, it would be great if we could get a modern Star Wars-themed Space Mountain like in Disneyland, but at this point they might as well stick with the timeless archetype of early steel roller coasters that is known around the world. But who knows? When Disneyland turned 50 they decided to completely overhaul the ride system, maybe at Walt Disney World's 50th they will do the same.
On this episode of the Orlando NOW! Podcast, we have part one of our two-part armchair Imagineering Epcot special. Part 1 features Aengus' and Ken's ideas, and in Part 2 Ryan and Nick present their ideas. If you have a question for us to answer on the show, send it to email@example.com.
